Cardiff: Sounds of the City

Created for a university assessment, ‘Cardiff: Sounds of the City‘ was a project that attempted to paint a picture of what goes on in Cardiff on your average day simply through sound.

There were 12 students working on the project and I took on a number of roles in order to ensure an aesthetically pleasing website was created and hosted well-produced content.

My initial role was to go out and source two people or places that would be interesting to include in the project. I was pleased to get access to record lunch being served at the Heath Hospital as well as getting the opportunity to attend a session at Phoenix Gymnastics and find out what goes on there.

Everyone working on the project then came together for a production day and at this point I took up the role of audio editor, helped design and brand the website, ensured we were protected from copyright infringement and I also promoted the project on various social media sites.

Overall, I put a lot of effort into the site and I’m proud of how the site looks as well as the majority of content that the team created.
